If Caesarea was almost anywhere else in the World, it would be THE major tourist attraction of that country.
Caesarea is a Roman city, which is half sunk into the Meditteranean Sea.
Caesarea is a Roman city, which is half sunk into the Meditteranean Sea.
The site has a complete Aqueduct (come car park as you can see), a Hippodrome, harbour, other buildings and an Amphitheatre which is used for concerts.
And as you walk from the Amphitheatre you can see how an Earthquake has effectively slipped half of the city into the sea. it is a quite specatacular site, which you almost certainly won't have heard of it because Israel has so much else to offer.
Yes, Israel has MANY things to offer... like getting your taxi searched before it pulls up to the hotel to drop you off...
ReplyDeleteCaesarea is nice...
ReplyDeleteIn Israel you can visit also Jerusalem(history), Eilat(spectacular diving), Tel Aviv (crazy nightlife and nice people and beaches) and many more touristic places.
I am spending one week in Israel and want to stay more...
