This year, my Summertime has been the shortest one ever.
It has in fact lasted for only 6 and a half days.
Not because of the dreadful weather. If I was commenting on the British Summer alone, then that came to an end when it sleeted on me for half an hour on Tuesday, 2 days after officially starting.
No this is the shortest Summer because I have changed hemisphere over the course of the last week. As London 'sprang forward' into British 'Summer Time' last Sunday, so Australia 'falls back' onto it's Winter time zone tonight.
Recovering as I am from jet-lag, I am very excited about the prospect of another hour of sleeping time.
