Lake Severan lies a few miles further East of Yerevan than it used to.
An irrigation scheme has drained part of the lake and the level has dropped significantly. And so we found ourselves driving through a waterfront resort that now has no seafront. But which has a lot of rusted waterpark equipment and collapsing abandoned hotels.
And we found ourselves driving to the Severan Monastary which had been on an island, but which is now attached to the mainland.
