At least they were consistent: The Soviets.
A massive great slab of concrete is the answer to all monumental and housing needs.
Yet here at least, in this monument to the Soviet Liberation of Armenia there is an attempt to give the concrete a light, floating sense of airiness. Supported as it is by just two slivers of concrete on either side, I’m not entirely sure if they pull it off.
