This is a picture from the Church of the Nativity in Bethlehem, which is in Palestine.
The 'peace wall' border and it's unhelpfuolly sited gaps had made this very short 12 mile drive from Jerusalem take over 2 hours.
Jesus was born somewhere under these floorboards.
It was a very peaceful place. Made more peaceful as there were only a handful of other visitors.
You can go downstairs and visit a spot claimed to be the precise place where Jesus breathed his first breaths. It is a hollowed out spot in a wall fitted out in red velvet with a huge brass star on the base.
