the Qobustan Petroglyphs

The shapes were what he said they were.

If you squinted you could see a camel or a pregnant woman or people rowing a boat. And at Qobustan there are lots of these petroglyphs to see.

The supposed ages I am less convinced by.

I am too ignorant to understand how you can date a scratch on a rock at all, let alone say that it is 8,000, 15,000, 30,000 years old.

I am no less sceptical than when I visited Eritrea and was presented with 19000 year old cave paintings.

I’ll have to read up on it.
