The drive from Cork to Dublin had to be interrupted for a visit to The Rock of Cashel.
The 12th Century Chapel was undergoing a renovation when we were there, so it’s gothic silhouette was somewhat disguised by a lot of 21st Century scaffolding.
Early in the morning and as some of the first to arrive the place had an isolated quiet eeriness.
And then the coachload of Italians arrived just as we finished with the AV.
